Happy Halloween, Milwaukee! It’s now the spookiest season of all, and if you’re anything like us, the holiday just doesn’t feel like Halloween without the perfect jack-o-lantern. Picking and carving pumpkins is a Fall tradition that really brings the spirit (and spooky spirits) of the season to life.  So, just where can you go to find that perfect gourd to stand guard during the year’s most haunted night?

Creekside Valley Farm

Creekside Valley Farm is all about bringing families together for unforgettable experiences.  More than just a pumpkin patch, they have created an educational and exciting place for people to fall in love with Fall.  Farm goers can explore the “How Tall this Fall” Scarecrow patches, get lost in the corn maze, take pictures in the Goliath chair, pet the farm animals, shop for festive decorations and seasonal treats, and wander the grounds for that perfect pumpkin to carve for Halloween.    

Jim’s Pumpkin Farm

For those looking for a fun, family-friendly adventure, Jim’s Pumpkin Farm is the place to be.  The Farm is filled with all sorts of elements to keep the kids entertained, from face paintings, to pedal tractor rides, to scarecrow stuffings.  And, don’t forget to catch a hayride through the pumpkin patch so you can pick out the perfect one to take home!

Schuett Farms

Schuett Farms is known for their incredible 10-acre corn maze.  With over 3 miles of path, this is the outdoor challenge fall dreams are made of!  If you’re not up for the blind challenge, don’t worry. For those looking for an easier stroll through the maze, there’s an interactive system in place so that your smartphone can swiftly guide you to the exit.  Once you’re out, head over for some pumpkin launching fun where you can win prizes for accuracy.

Swan’s Pumpkin Farm

Celebrating its 40th season, Swan’s Pumpkin Farm is the perfect place to celebrate all things fall.  Whether you’re heading out with the whole family or just looking for a grown-ups only adventure, there’s something for everyone!  In addition to picking through rows and rows of perfectly plump pumpkins, there’s a petting zoo, a hayride, and of course lots of tasty treats.  Plus, for those in need of something spooky to get in the Halloween spirit, check out Wanda’s Spook House or dare to make your way through the Witch Hollow corn maze.  

Land of the Giants Pumpkin Farm    

Land of the Giants Pumpkin Farm celebrates all things seasonal!  From their massive selection of pumpkins for carving, decorating, and cooking, to a giant pumpkin bounce house, to the fall barrel train, a maze, and even an animal petting area, there’s fun for the whole family.  And, don’t forget to check out their giant pumpkins and gourds before you leave.
