With Milwaukee festival season in full swing, it’s already been an exciting, memorable summer!  And, the fun isn’t stopping anytime soon! So, as June comes to a close, let’s move this party into July and take a look at our top festival picks still to come.  Check it out:


When: June 27th – July 8th (off-day on July 2nd)

Where: Henry Maier Festival Park

From rock to pop, country to electronic, rap to alternative the world’s largest music festival and Milwaukee’s treasured Summerfest has something for everyone!  This year’s all-star lineup includes Imagine Dragons, Dave Matthews Band, Blake Shelton, The Weeknd, Arcade Fire and more – and that’s just the main stage! With hundreds of bands on the bill, there’s something for absolutely everyone.

Bastille Days

When:  July 12th – 15th

Where:  Cathedral Square Park

Calling all Francophiles!  Come celebrate the 37th anniversary of one of the country’s biggest French-themed celebrations, and visit Paris via Cathedral Square Park.  Guests will be treated to impromptu street performances, roaming minstrels, musical entertainment and so many tasty French delicacies.  There will even be a replica 43-foot Eiffel Tower in the center of the action.

Festa Italiana

When: July 20th – 22nd

Where:  Henry Maier Festival Park

Festa Italiana is one of Milwaukee’s oldest ethnic festivals.  Each year, it builds on rich traditions from the past to represent Milwaukee’s Italian community of today and tomorrow.  Festival goers will enjoy jazz music, a parade, children’s activities and fireworks each night. And, don’t forget to show off your competitive side as you cheer on the players in futsal tournament and the nearby flag throwers.  This year’s headlining acts include Tony-winner Anthony Crivello, famed Italian actor and singer Louis Vanaria, George Busateri’s Spider George and the Web, and more.

Firkin Fest

When: July 21st

Where: Cathedral Square Park

Before we even get into the festival, you might be wondering, “What exactly is a firkin?”  A firkin is a small, wooden barrel filled with about nine gallons of brew! The Milwaukee Firkin Beer Fest is all about education and helping you celebrate our beloved beer!  It celebrates MKE’s past, present and future of beer and will feature samples of over 150 brews and 50 firkins on site.

Milwaukee Air & Water Show

When: July 21st – 22nd

Where: Lakefront

Trust us, you won’t want to miss this one!  The Milwaukee Air and Water Show is bringing back the famed Thunderbirds (formally known as the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron) to headline this year’s event.  There will also be other exciting demonstrations roaring to life on and above Lake Michigan.

Warped Tour

When: July 23rd

Where: American Family Insurance Amphitheater

Don’t miss the final run of the Warped Tour, as the annual traveling music festival takes its final lap.  Come out, and release your inner hardcore punk rocker one last time. Jam out with your favorite metal, pop and punk artists that span all sorts of genres at this one-day music festival overload!

EAA AirVenture

When: July 23rd – 29th

Where: Wittman Regional Airport

Known as “The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration,” every year, EAA AirVenture Oshkosh shows us all just how they earned their title.  This annual event is one of the world’s most impressive showcases of attractions, representing history, innovation, technological advancement and current and future trends in aviation.  

German Fest

When: July 27th – 29th

Where:  Henry Maier Festival Park

Don’t miss this three day even that’s jam-packed with music, Sheepshead tournaments, wine tasting and all kinds of fun children’s activities!  Take an in-depth look into your family history, as genealogists look up your family tree. Experience an alluring display of European trains. And, don’t miss the Stihl Timbersports Series, as it returns with some of the top lumberjack athletes.  Die Lauser, a group of six musicians from Austria, appropriately clad in schottenröcken, will also being playing the event.

Chill on the Hill

When:  Through August 28th

Where:  Humboldt Park

A Bay View favorite, Chill on the Hill will welcome more than 20 bands over the course of the summer.  Attendees will also have access to many delicious food vendors from popular community eateries and partners.
